- bracelet stand
- hot glue gun
- scissors
- marker
- fabric (velvet recommended)
- 1 piece of paper
- studs (optional)
PREP:
The first thing you want to do is deconstruct your bracelet holder. This will make it much easier for you to wrap the fabric around the bracelet stand pieces later.
The first thing you want to do is deconstruct your bracelet holder. This will make it much easier for you to wrap the fabric around the bracelet stand pieces later.
1. Begin with tracing the sides of the bracelet stand on a piece of paper to create a stencil2. You will then use the stencil to trace and cut out circles in the fabric
3. Next you will cut a piece of fabric that is a little bigger than the amount needed to wrap around the bar of the bracelet stand (Don't worry about being precise, you can cut off the excess after you glue :) )
5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the other bar
6. Measure enough fabric to cover the main base of the stand
7. Get your glue gun ready!!! haha :D
8. Start gluing the fabric to the pieces of the stand
9. Put a lot of hot glue in the holes of the base and stick the bars back in place
10. Add studs in the front (optional)
TIPS:
- Always overestimate how much fabric you need when cutting your fabric pieces because falling short of a little fabric is the saddest thing :'(
- Make sure to stick each bar back into the base of the stand before step 9. This is because when you wrap fabric around the frame, it might not fit back in the hole of the base.
- Use mini scissors to trim off any excess fabric that sticks out to create a cleaner finished product
